Pool address:

B&G:  Boys & Girls Club, 277 Cumberland Ave, Portland ME
YMCA: Portland Y, 70 Forest Ave, Portland, ME

Arrival:

Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before the start of your lessons as our coaches will not be on premise. 

Parking:

B&G:  There is a very small parking lot on Chestnut street that parents may use after 6pm if spots are available, but please do not block in another car. Otherwise, we would recommend street parking spots on Cumberland Avenue or on Chestnut street alongside Portland HS or the Merrill Auditorium. 

Locker Rooms:

There are locker rooms available at both Boys & Girls and the Portland YMCA.  Please be aware that only Porltand Porpoise swimmers will have use of the lockers rooms at B&G during our programming, however the Portland YMCA locker rooms are open to their members as well.  

If child is able to change independently, we ask that they do so and parents do not enter the locker. 

If child needs assistance changing, parents may enter the locker to assist with these guidelines:

- If not using a Family Locker (option at Portland Y only), we ask parent to be of the same gender as the child.

- Parent only assist their child and not others.

- Parent and child leaves promptly once child is changed, please do not socialize/hang out in locker rooms.

- No cell phone use by adults or children in the locker room. 

If parent is not the same gender as the child and therefore unable to enter the locker room, please make arrangements for child to wear bathing suit home with a coverup/clothes. They may not change in the hall or on the pool deck.
