This is a distance-based meet geared towards much of the training PPSC does over the year. This is a great meet for our swimmers to get some experience integral to their training. One of the requirements for moving 9-11 year olds from the Silver to Gold group is swimming distance events, such as the 200 IM and 500 Free. So get ready Silvers!

This is the first opportunity of the summer to swim long course and an excellent opportunity for kids to begin developing truly efficient swimming technique as they are required to swim a full 50 meters before using a wall for additional propulsion! Dover is about an hour drive from Portlandthis meet is lots of fun for the kids because theyll swim in an OUTDOOR 50 meter pool! PPSC has been doing this meet for years and it is a favorite!

This is a new meet we will try this summer, hosted by Hurricane Swim Club, for our newer and less-experienced swimmers. Think of it as a little get-away weekend to celebrate the end of the school year! A block of hotel rooms will be reserved for PPSC families. (Those swimmers traveling to MIT meet on June 19 should not attend this meet.)

A meet hosted by North Shore Swim Club is another great chance to gain long course experience! This meet is intended mainly for Gold & Pre-Senior groups; however, everyone is invited to go swim in MIT's wonderful 50m pool and spend a weekend in Boston! A block of hotel rooms will be reserved for PPSC families.

The last chance to swim a meet locally before the Summer State Champs in St. John, New Brunswick. Swimmers will compete only with other swimmers their own age. This is a charged meet with plenty of awards (i.e. trophies!).

Any swimmer can participate in this meet and all are highly encouraged to attend and score points for the team towards the summer Maine State Championship! A family vacation opportunity in scenic St. John and swimming in a 50m pool makes this trip worthwhile! A block of hotel rooms will be reserved for PPSC families. (Please note that all travelers must have a U.S. Passport or appropriate travel documents to get into Canada).
