The Portland Porpoise Swim Club's Board is run exclusively by parent volunteers. As with any volunteer organization, there is a lot of work that goes into making it run efficiently, whether related to meets, fundraising, public relations, etc., and we're in need of additional help.

As a result, the PPSC Board is requiring each and every family to volunteer in some way during the season beginning in September. Possible volunteer opportunities include:

• Equipment Sales
  • Work with supplier to receive inventory and place orders
  • Set up a table at practice monthly

• Fundraising Committee
  • Mailing/follow up to prospective corporate sponsors
  • Fundraising dinners at local restaurants
  • See Wendi O'Donovan if you are interested in a fundraising activity

• Mini Meet in October and Candy Cane Meet in December
  • Head Timer and meet timers
  • Organize prizes
  • Admissions staff
  • Concessions staff
  • Equipment sales staff
  • Recruit sponsors and/or advertisers
  • Clean up crew
